finally after 8 months, ABSOLVO!

it's funny to have thought your friend had done smth, and to have been looking at her in a certain light for 8 entire months, interpreting her words and actions relating to that matter to have connotations or deliberate evasive intentions. it was rather amusing to have that cleared up after 8 months of 'acceptance'. imagine the shock and surprise! then again, it is really amazing how i could have dreamt that all up and mixed it with reality. odd.

lovely weekend thus far..

it's really been sucha lovely weekend thus far!
momo and mos turned out to be good fun with the girls! watching em validate gays, enticing and then ignoring guys, i couldn't help laughing thru out the whole night! birthday wishes go out to chethan whom i bumped into (along with william), along with my promise to get u back for literally dragging me onto the podium!

today went really well too! initially didn't have high expectations for the day, but dropping by jo's place early was a great idea! cooking with jo and charm was really fun, wot with all the misdeeds of the two in the kitchen. haha note to all guys. do not be fooled by girls' presence in the kitchen. just cos they seem to be in the kitchen and food appears at the end of the day, it doesn't mean they're good (in a functional sense) cooks! basics jo! lesson no. 1: chopping potatoes! hahahaha so thoroughly amused!!!

and to top off the day at jo's, the dinner was in brief, simply lovely. such a pleasant and warm experience to simply be in the company of friends at the dinner table, savouring food we cooked for each other, and talking abt everything. not to mention the glass or two that tickled us so much more! charm's right. we've come really far in our relationship as friends, grown up and moved on to the joys of sit-down dinner company. we'll have more to come! and culinary greatness to sample!!!

Happy Birthday Jo!

Jo's such a lovely girl..She's just so chirpy and jovial! How does she do it--despite all the ups and downs she goes through? Not that she's miserable or anything, but she just seems unperturbed by it all. Anyway, I've been having a really great time catching up with you over the past couple of weeks. It's good to know that new-found lingo and certain new perspectives aside, deeeeeeeep down, you're still the same joe black from j1 who'd amuse me when i'm down with the apprehensive pat on my back saying "it's okay chiam!" hah!

Sorry guys, for being the stoned me today. Really couldn't squeeze any energy out of myself after an extremely exhausting day at work. Not to mention the terrible dissapointment of having my half day off robbed. by a meeting and a task that came at literally just before i was gonna leave the office. Sometimes such uncanny coincidences make me subscribe to some kinda omniscient conspiracy theory nonsense, but then i realise it's just the SAF. and the people in it. Much as things have improved over the past two years, you still can't run away from the inefficiences and irritating idiosyncracies of regulars in the SAF. Sweeping you might say? There're incentives so wanting in the intrinsic nature of the organisation that these ppl often portray the characteristics we see of centrally planned economies. Not very encouraging is it? Anyway, the count is currently at 64. Let's just get it over with.

Haha, never thought I'd be so happy about national day! But indeed, tomorrow's going to be the first public holiday in a really long time! Short but much needed. At least i can go to sleep tonight without having to set my alarm clock!
